Environmental tips balancing fact and humour
A great deal has been written and said about environmental issues. It is undoubtedly something we have to take seriously, but most people's impressions of environmental threats are of huge, vague and unstoppable nightmares. This gives you two choices: ignore it, or sit and worry. This book aims to provide a path between these extremes: it provides hassle-free tips on how to make your everyday existence a little greener. These facts and tips are (hopefully) peppered with just enough humour to keep you sane while you fret about the future of the planet. Flick through, adopt what you like, and save the planet from the comfort of your own living room.

Most offices generate huge quantities of high quality paper waste. By establishing a recyclable paper bin, and simply using both sides of a piece of paper, you can make a difference in both in terms of reducing office costs and slowing deforestation. Each ton of recycled paper saves 17 trees and 380 gallons of oil. Most councils will also charge lower business rates if you put your waste paper in a separate bag for collection and recycling.

Living green makes sense5
A humorous look at how to live your life in an environmentally friendly way, without breaking the bank or becoming an eco-hippy. Most people, unless they are really committed, don't have the time to sit down and seriously tackle a book on the environment, but many of us feel we'd like to be doing more to help. This easy-to-read little book solves that dilemma. It's full of really valid, practical ideas that are easy to put into action, and the asides (and pictures) are universally funny. There's a tip per page, and sensible explanations as to why each suggestion will benefit the environment. The author doesn't preach, and keeps the tone light-hearted - but the end section of the book, with its sobering facts on what we're doing to the world around us, reinforces its message eloquently. The book should appeal equally to those who are already living green, and to those who, like me, need some gentle persuasion!

A comprehensive guide to how we can all make a difference5
I found this book gave so much excellent advice about how to be green without having to change my current practices radically. It is easy to read and there is something in there for everyone. If you did not already realise what trouble the world is in, it hits home after reading the facts and figures - we all need to do our bit and I would definitely recommend this book to everyone who wants to start helping, but does not know where to start. Also, the book is excellent value for the amount of information the reader can gain.

Great little gem5
Witty little gem of a book with concise and simple suggestions which you can easily incorporate into your day-to-day life. Great starting point and a good soft intro for those who are perhaps a bit sceptical. An ideal little gift item to send to all your friends, and definitely one to keep in the loo for a quick read.
