A fantastic book!
What a gem this book is for all people with an interest in airfields and WW2 related aviation info.
The book is set out with 2-3 pages on each airfield over Norfolk and Suffolk, arranged aphabetically. The majority of airfields covered have an aerial photo of the base overlaid with the plan of where the airfield and runways would have been on the landscape, plus a map to locate where it was situated in relation to villages and roads.

There is fascinating information on every airfield's history, from when it was built and used to the lists of every squadron, both RAF and USAAF, and which type of aircraft was based there and when. The book is also invaluable to WW2 enthusiasts wanting to search out where these old airfields would have been, giving details of it's location and also details and often photos of memorials that exist in these locations.

The book has so much to offer the reader, and a very pleasant surprise is the inclusion of many photos of the aircraft used at various sites and also photos of the crews at leisure and also photos of whole squadrons for posed "class" photos. It adds a lovely sentimental touch to a brilliant and informative book!
