Handa's Surprise is a book full of surprise!
As a primary school teacher recently returned from Kenya it was a joy to find a book that was set in Kenya. The book fits well in the Literacy hour (see 100 Literacy Hours - Year One) and the children loved role playing the story, even in front of the whole school! It is hard to find multicultural books which are eye catching and can catch the imagination of a child. A must for any Key Stage One teacher,
