Culinare Rechargeable Can opener4
One Touch Automatic Can Opener Rechargable
I purchased the rechargeable version for Christmas after reading reviews of the battery model.
The Opener works fine. The instructions state that, following a 7 hour charge the opener should last for 30 cans or 3 weeks. On January 10th it failed in the middle of a can (after 16 days & approx. 5 cans). There was insufficient charge for the reverse button to function. I reverted to the screwdriver escape - which is messy, but worked. (You have to hold the can & opener upside down over a basin to catch the liquid while you 'unscrew' it).
I have now decided to re-charge the opener weekly.

After re-charging I discovered that the product had no charge. Contacted Culinaire Customer relations who asked me to return & they replaced the product. The replacement is working fine so far. I would say the weakest part of this product is that there are no charge indicator lights, so you do not know - (a) when it is fully charged and (b) when it is running out of charge. I am still re-charging weekly for about 5 hours

One Touch Automatic Can Opener5
This is a great product for anyone who has problems gripping or with dexterity in their hands. However, be warned you need to keep it charged as running out of power half way through removing a tin lid makes for a very tricky removal!. In addition it takes the whole tin lid off leaving the can somewhat unstable and prone to spillage. Also leaves a sharp edge. I would still recommend it as if you have limited mobility in your hands it is the only way to open canned goods.

Can - can4
When this can opener works it is excellent, however the first one we had got jammed on about its third can and it was very difficult to get it to release. Couldn't get the opener to work again and therefore got a replacement from Amazon (great service as usual!).

No problems so far with the new one, touch wood.
