Product Description

This is reissue of Michael Jackson's second book, first published in 1992. 'People ask me how I make music. I tell them I just step into it. It's like stepping into a river and joining the flow. Every moment in the river has its song. So, I stay in the moment and listen' - Michael Jackson (1958 - 2009). "Dancing the Dream" is one man's hauntingly beautiful, provocatively personal view of the world around us, and the universe within each of us. Whether his prose and poetry focused on creativity, the people that surrounded him, or the plight of the noble elephant, his observations and concerns all illustrated his belief that trust, love and faith are the foundation stones for a life well lived. Containing Michael Jackson's personal writings and over one hundred glorious photographs, drawings, and paintings from his own collection, this book is a must have for all fans of an incredible, inspiring man who died as he lived - dancing his dream. This title is suitable for millions of Michael Jackson fans.

Customer Reviews

a beautiful book from a beautiful man5
As well as being an icon and a multi super star Michael Jackson really has got a talent for writing and while this can also give you an insight into the king of Music's mind, his beautiful poems reflecting his thoughts about angels, wonderment, his beloved Mother Katherine Jackson to the state of our world today, which helps you find out more about the true soul of Michael, it is as different as you can get to Moonwalk. Whereas Moonwalk is a real and gritty account of Michael's life addressing abuse from his father, love, sex and plastic surgery, Dancing the Dream is a dreamy and starry collection of the King of Pop's not so much memoirs but his lesser-known art, being most known for his music than his writing and something you will find out about him is he probably spends a lot of his time thinking sincerely and writing stories and poetry. He strikes me as a creative and sensitive man.
It includes a foreword from Michael's true friend, the actress Elizabeth Taylor who talks about what Michael means to her and what she thinks of when she hears the name Michael Jackson "bright stars and laser and love and wonderment." All in all if you ever wanted to know if Michael Jackson is as creative and sensitive as other artists say and what it really feels like to be Dancing the Dream, this is the book you need.

A genuinely moving book.5
Of all the Michael Jackson books I own, this one tops them all.

Its biographical content is present in its beautiful photography, heart felt poetry and reflective artwork.

If youre a fan, I guarantee you'll enjoy every page of this book. Once finished, you'll feel just that bit closer to knowing more about the man behind the mystery that is Michael Jackson.

If youre unsure of Michael Jackson, give this book a chance. Michael shares his personal feelings on such topics as the environment, angels, emotions and wishing apon stars.

Definately a book to be proud of showing on your bookshelf.

BEAUTIFUL5
It takes a week for delivery from England to China. But it's worth waiting.
This is a great book, my favorite one of Michael's, maybe the best memento ever. Magically this anthology can ease the pain of losing him so early, since you'll feel touching his soul when reading the words written by him - the very beautiful soul from the heaven.
May you rest in peace.
