A book strictly for the Americans1
This book is essentially about making your favourite dairy and fatty meals out of tofu, along with a host of faddy ingredients difficult to find outside of America. There are almost no vegetables or original recipes in it and it is basically like the 'vegan dairy substitute' section in most vegan cookbooks. There are definitely better books out there!

This book has some great low fat recipes in it for vegans and vegetarians which are different and unique. I didn't know you could do so much with tofu!! However, some of the ingredients are only available from america, and there are no pictures of the dishes.Use this book only as an addition to your others, and if you are a hardcore veggie or vegan

One of the best vegan cookbooks I've ever found5
This book provides a wide array of completely vegan sauces, sides, entrees, and desserts that are all extremely low in fat and all very easy and quick to prepare. Almost every one of the recipes that I've tried were excellent(and I've made almost all of them. Of special note are the baked goods and desserts that are vegan and fat-free (or very low fat) yet resemble their dairy and egg laden counterparts. Favorites include eggless French Toast, Non dairy sour cream, tofu loaf (different from any 'meatloaf' tofu recipe you've tried), Drop biscuits, vanilla cake/muffins, and cheezecake.
