Handy Reference For the eBay Novice
Thinking about opening an eBay account? If you are, you could do worse than arm yourself with Cherry Nixon's concise guide.

The book is specifically aimed at the U.K. version of eBay and, after taking you through the rudiments of the site - how to locate it and how to look stuff up, the practical task of setting up your own account is worked through.

There's a chapter devoted to Paypal and, again, an easy to follow set of instructions for setting up your own account and using it for your eBay transactions.

The book contains a wealth of common sense tips to improve your chances of selling your stuff. There's a good section on the importance of pictures and tips on how to organise your selling activities. There are also plenty of screenshots to illustrate the various topics in each chapter.

As well as the beginners that the book is primarily aimed at, those who have recently started trading on eBay may pick up some useful nuggets as well. However, as the book's title would imply, it's not aimed at experienced traders. The author does not intend it to be an all encompassing book dealing with every aspect of the site.

So, if you are thinking about becoming an 'eBayer', and perhaps you don't feel too confident about how to go about it, this book will certainly ease your journey.

I have been selling on ebay for five years and sent for this book for tips it might give me. Thank goodness I did. During the last four weeks I have had my first problems with a buyer and reading "ebay for beginners" helped me sort out the problem by telling me what to do. The problem was resolved to my satisfaction. Very useful tips and information and an easy to understand little book.
