Excellent!! Couldn't do course without it.
This book is written in easy to understand terms, perfect for a novice like me!!
I started the course in September of this year and have already passed 3 units!
I am self taught, so there have been lots of bad habits to break, but so far so good!
I thoroughly recommend this book and disk to anyone who is doing the ECDL course or to anyone thinking of doing it, great investment and you can sell it on afterwards.

Good for reference
I bought this book as it was required for my ECDL college taught course. We followed the modules through and did all the exercises - however, there are some errors which our tutor pointed out! It is clearly laid out and the exercises are useful. I passed within 6 months!
