Impossible to compare this to anything else
This song is amazing. I struggle to find words to describe this. This was the first song I'd ever heard by Green Day and straight away I could see there was something special about this song. It looks like TV producers around the globe agree with me as this song has been featured in millions of sad or unforgetable TV moments (anyone who saw the BBC's tribute to the British Coxless Four's Olympic rowing team won't forget it for a while). The guitar on it's own is beautiful and Billie-Joe's singing is haunting but the second the strings kick in you can't help but stand up and salute another amazing song from Billie-Joe (on his own this time).Cry, cheer, scream, shout, whatever it makes you do, you must get this, whether you like Green Day or not. This song alone introduced me to the best band in the world at the moment and all of their albums. GET IT NOW!!!!!!!

I didnt really hear about Green day before i watched American Pie where this single is featured, i looked the single up and bought the album (might i add if C.Ds could wear out then it would of!) I definatly rate this single and Green Day 100%
