Not very impressed
We have this book at school and i must say it is not very helpful. There is no colour and all of the information is out of date. Find another textbook.
Not The Best Revision Tool
As a student we have this at my school and they are very dull. The information is extremely old and never can give you any modern ideas because of this. There is no colour and the information is very boring and the language is somewhat very complex in many areas. Would recommend any other economics textbook even though this does cover the entire GCSE Economics syllabus.
Pity Economics students in the UK
I bought this book as a basic revision of, and re-introduction to economics. It covers the main topics, but in no real depth. As a book, it has many mistakes, its table of contents doesn't even point to page numbers, it was written in 1993 and has not been updated and in certain respects is firmly out of date - what is YT, inflation is now CPI,RPI-x,RPI and core, the Bank of England's functions have moved on, there is no reference to the role of investment banks. Some of the writing is mealy-mouthed and clunking, but overall all the main economic headings are here. Not worth £21.99 - reflects no doubt the compulsory purchase nature of GCSE books, or as it would no doubt say the elasticity of demand!
