Edexcel AS and A lelvel Modular Maths
it is a text book and recommended by my shcool for A level higher maths.
Does what it says.....
If you are studying for Edexcel AS/A2 Maths, then would recommend this series. All of the modular textbooks are written specifically for the modular syllabus and exams. Explanations/examples are clear and all answers are included.
And this is the standard text used in our schools???
Wow - this is an amazingly poorly consider publication. The maths content seems good, but the page layout and overuse of graphics is eye fatiguing and way, way too busy to read for any extended period. The picture cutouts down the edge of each page are especially annoying and unnecessary. To clarify, I'm not actually doing an a-level, I'm readying myself to start a degree and wanted to brush up on a few things. The course books I have from the OU are clean, clearly laid out using two colours at most, with plenty of margin space for notes - boring maybe, but clear and easy to follow. I expected far more from an EDEXCEL/Pearson publication.
