Amazon.co.uk Review
Prepare to be absolutely charmed by Jennifer Crusie's riotous tale of two slightly twisted sisters and a town chock-full of hunks, coots and petty politics in Welcome to Temptation.
Sophie and Amy Dempsey are just two wedding filmers trying to hop to the next level of their careers when they agree to produce a documentary of ageing film star Clea Whipple's return to her hometown of Temptation, Ohio. And when the local mayor, Phin Tucker, and the police chief, Wes Mazur, proffer themselves as willing subjects for quick flings, Sophie and Amy aren't the type to object. But things are never easy in rural Ohio, and what starts off as an esoteric art film project soon evolves into potential porn--and that's just the relationships, let alone the documentary. Clea's husband Zane turns belly-up, the race for mayor turns dirty and Sophie and Phin turn on the heat full steam.
With hot sex, clever characters and Crusie's trademark wit, Welcome to Temptation will keep your eyes glued to the page and your stomach aching with laughter. --Nancy R.E. O'Brien

Very funny and romantic
This book is great, unputdownable - I read it in one day and then read it again the next. The characters are funny, the supporting characters not least so. Sophie and Phin are the right side of believable and their story is gutsy, romantic and sexy. I'll definitely be reading more books by Jennifer Crusie.
A terrific book - funny, sexy and a good plot too
I absolutely loved this book. It's really great quality chick-lit, fantastic characters, loads of tension in the plot, and a real page turner. I started reading it yesterday evening and stayed up half the night to finish it! The small town, gossipy atmosphere of Temptation is really vividly portrayed and there is plenty to enjoy besides the sizzling affair between Sophie and Phin. I defy any woman to read this and not fall a little in love with Phin - he's wonderful!
Well written and fun
A witty, entertaining romantic comedy filled with warm, memorable characters who are much more fun to read about than the usual whingeing thirty somethings thrust upon readers by UK 'chic-lit' authors.
The sex scenes absolutely sizzle off the page and expertly walk the thin line. Highly erotic, but never pornographic. Readers who have an aversion to the 'F' word might find the language a little strong on occasion as the aforementioned is used rather a lot. It didn't bother me too much. What did irritate me was the heroine's pulse which had an annoyingly repetitve habit of 'kicking up' every few pages. Seems to be a favourite phrase of the author's. However, that's really just nitpicking. I am sold on Jennifer Cruisie and will buy her other books. Usually modern romantic comedies leave me feeling bored and once I've read one, I have to abandon the genre for at least 6 months to recover. (last happened to me with Marian Keyes. I loved Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married, but when I came to the end, that was it for a long while!) With Cruisie, however, I'm thirsting for more.
