Customer Reviews
very handy and useful
I used this guide on my first trip to edinburgh. It helped me to plan my way from coach station to my hostel near the castle.
It also contains details about the major attractions of edinburgh with nice photographs.
overall good value for money.
Disappointing
Disappointing guide. I expected a book about Edinburgh, but was surprised that half this book is about Glasgow. If I wanted a book about Glasgow, I would have ordered one!
The book also does not mention the excellent hourly open-top bus guides from Waverly Station
A pocket guide book to Edinburg (and Glasgow)
It calls itself a pocket guide book and being less than 1 cm thick and something like 15 x 7½ cm across, the name is justified.
It contains all the information a guide book should have of sights, neighbourhood tours and fold-out maps to fit.
What the title doesn't tell is that it also contains information and maps of Glasgow, one of the obvious possibilities for a day trip out of Edinburgh.
The small size is partly achieved by small print and narrow pages that are less easy to browse. If you have reading glasses, you will need them here.
