I had an idea...to enable people to understand that the issue is not food, it is the relationship we have with food. There is no bad food, just some foods that are bad for us individually. I wanted to teach this information to you the readers in a fun way that you would enjoy reading whilst at the same time doing the techniques as you read them, and finding out for yourselves that they do work. The book is written in hypnotic language so the techniques enter into your non conscious by the story being fun and entertaining as well as highly informative. The book should take only about 90 minutes to read, making it ideal for a train or plane journey. Everything you need is within the story with easy to turn to exercises at the back, highlighting the key techniques which you will find yourself using. I hope you enjoy reading the journey of Sam and Jo as much as I did writing it. What have you to lose by taking the journey too?
About the Author
Kevin Laye is a highly successful Harley Street therapist, a qualified Master Hypnotist trainer and Master Practitioner and trainer of NLP. He was also the first trainer in the world to be awarded the coveted RCT trainer designation by the Association of Thought Field Therapy. Kevin frequently works with his good friend TV life change specialist Paul McKenna, and is recognised internationally.

It is very strange that all the positive reviewers have only written 1 review each! Could it be that they are friends of the writer?
The writing is appalling and unreadable at times due to the very poor sentence construction and punctuation. I read on other reviews that this is intentional but I find that odd as surely no publisher would allow that without an explanation.
Having said this, it is a very innnovative way to present this material and I would absolutely love it to work. I will apply the suggested techniques and if I successfully lose weight I will re-write this review because, to be honest, if it worked, I wouldn't care about the grammar and it would get 5 stars from me!
The book and it's message works for me
Apologies to anyone who minds, but I fall into the 'first review' category as I have never felt like writing a review before. On this occassion, mainly as a result of the other reviews, I thought I would and hopefully this will not make my review any less valid. Firstly, I don't really care about the punctuation, I know when I need to breathe and I wanted to read this book in the hope it would help me with my weight - not for an English lesson, or lack of one, as the case may be. It has been a few weeks now since I received the book and since I felt the reviews should be about whether the book as helped my lifestyle and weight, not how often it uses commas, I felt it only fair to delay my review. I am pleased to say, that for me, the book has delivered. I have somehow had a change in mind set. I used to eat in secret, thinking if no-one knew, I had got away with it, but now I realise that I am cheating myself, not anyone else and amazingly I don't want to do it. This wasn't conscious, it has just happened. I also find, I am rarely bloated (I am not 100% good!) and I cannot remember when in the last month I have finished a meal feeling 'stuffed'. For me it has not been about following a diet or cutting things out, it has just been about what is going on in my head and I am very pleased. Finally, the all important question, have I lost weight? Yes, my sister-in-law told me on Sunday that she has never seen me looking so good and I am back in jeans I kept from before my 2 children. Great success!

In this powerful book he has applied many contemporary disciplines to the challenge of achieving a desired weight or appearance, without resorting to dieting.Each technique presented is effective in its own right, and the combination provides a potent recipe for success.
All this has been achieved in a simple, humourous, narrative context, accessible to a very wide audience. A magnificent achievement.
As a practicing GP with an interest in helping patients with weight and body image issues, I will be recommending this book to my patients. These techniques work. The bonus is that they are also fun and make weight loss enjoyable.
