	A Room With A View (Special Edition) [DVD] [1985] Buy new: £6.08 My absolute favourite - beautiful, witty, funny, and retaining just as much of the original as it is possible. Great actors, great director, great screenplay writer... and a bunch of Academy Awards.
	A Passage To India [DVD] [1984] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £3.43 Great attempt at making a movie of one of the most important novels of the century. Not quite as perfect as A Room with a View but just as worthy of watching. Have you ordered your copy yet?
	Where Angels Fear to Tread [DVD] [1991] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £2.85 Muted and quiet but this is the only way to render credibly the incredible mixture of comedy and tragedy of the original novel. Decidedly underrated so don't trust the reviews!
	Maurice [DVD] [1987] Buy new: £6.48 Forster's gay love story is rendered very thruthfully to the original but somehow this does not make it a very good movie. Some cuts to speed up the pace would be necessary.
	Howards End [1992] [DVD] Buy new: £6.38 / Used from: £2.17 It's an awarded classic with great cast (Anthony Hopkins with Emma Thompson) but it clings too much to the original for perfection. The Academy, however, did not share my views so it got some Oscars.
	A Room with a View [DVD] [2007] Buy used from: £1.88 Oooops... That's a new one. I will let you know what I think when I see it but it's EMF so it's always worth trying!
