Then his parents and friends discover the truth about Berry, and his life falls apart. All of a sudden nowhere is safe and Berry's world goes to shreds. "Choir Boy" is an adventure story about facing tremendous dangers, and risking everything to find out the truth about yourself. It's also a coming-of-age tale about a character who refuses to come of age gracefully. Full of bizarre humour and surreal touches, this is Gunther Grass' "The Tin Drum" mixed with Eugenides' "Middlesex".
