Wonderful film!
This film will become regular Christmas viewing for my family. Growing up in America Sesame Street was a regular companion to me. This is my 7 year old stepdaughter's first introduction to Sesame Street and she loved it. This is a very sweet and heartwarming film, starring the wonderful Elmo, who is joined by an all star cast of characters, both real and muppet. It's nearly Christmas and Stiller the elf has arrived with the Christmas Counter Downer, a device looking a bit like a set of blocks that counts down to Christmas. Without the Christmas Counter Downer there is no Christmas. Unfortunately Stiller has a bit of an accident and loses all the parts of it. But Elmo has faith in Christmas and helps Stiller look for each of the missing pieces. As pieces are located, they are placed in the Christmas Counter Downer, which triggers a little song or skit performed by one of the guest stars, frequently joined by regular Sesame Street characters.

Not just for christmas
I bought this for my 2 year old for her birthday which is in November as a way of getting her interested and excited about christmas. Well........it's now coming up for easter and it is still in the dvd player. She absolutely loves Elmo and it's one of the few films that she will sit through without moving - great if you need a quiet few minutes!

New Vs Old
I am old school Sesame Street Veteran and eager to get my children learning the same way I did. This does not dissappoint and my children (age 2and 5) loved both these dvds.

Lots of songs old and new faces. Something entertaining and educational.
