CD Description
Second album from popular British ska-punk/hardcore band, follow-up to 2000's 'Civil Disobedients'. Raucous melodic punk with a skanking backbeat and political themes - their nameis short for "capitalist downfall". Produced by Dave Chang, who has worked with Earthtone9 and Stampin' Ground.

The Finest UK Ska act Strike back with a Stunning new album!5
Wow Capdown again don't disapoint with another unique album that cant help but draw attention to it's self. Jake's explosive sax solo's do everything for this album the hardcore and ska adds to the great sound that Capdown produce. Having been very impressed with the new sound they have produced I can definately see Capdown going on to bigger things. "Faith No More" sets the album of with an explosion of hardcore ska that is catchy yet hard hitting with its political lyrics, "Pound For The Sound" is re-realesed and effects are used to make this the prime example of Capdown's new more complexed and structurised sound. "Dealer Fever" see's them explore new sounds of the Jungle genre and "Dub #2" is a musical masterpiece to follow from "Dub #1"'s great chilling feel. If you found "Civil Disobedients" in the slightist good then you'll love this masterpiece.

Another blinder from the UK Ska'rdcore mob!5
After the frankly incredible debut by Capdown, this second installment doesn't disappoint! It is slightly different to the first album, with a better produced feel, and it does sound slightly beefier than the original, but the songs are just as good! The political message is still as strong as on the original album, and anyone with even the slightest liking of ska, punk or hardcore will absolutely adore this gem.

The guitar work is beefed up, the sax solos are still awesome, and the great and varied vocals are back! Capdown are definitely one of the top UK bands, as was demonstrated when Bad Religion came over for a one off gig, and had Capdown as support.

Hopefully we will see another album soon, becasue I just can't get enough of this awesome band!!!

incredible skardcore by the premier uk ska/hardcore band5
This album combines the skank of operation ivy the hardcore of consumed the brass implentation of lubby nugget and the political aggression of anit-flag. But all of that put together doesnt prepare you Capdowns 2nd full length release 'pound for the sound'. The title track has a comination of skanking guitar with sax line with the occasional harcore/slightly (only slightely) metally breakdown. This sets the tone for the rest of the album. What sets this album apart from their first release is the more extremitys of it , the harcore tunes ARE HARCORE but the ska tunes are more skanky. if you're into the poppy punky stuff like blink182 greenday reel big fish etc... THIS WILL BLOW YOUR MIND
