Customer Reviews

Very different from "The Godfather"4
A good book about the Sicilian mafia that should be treated as a stand alone piece of work. Referrence to "The Godfather" takes from it. It is a book about deception, honour, greed and Sicilian ways that is well worth reading. The plot doesn't twist and turn but more converges all the characters to one finale. A worthy 4 stars.

Puzo's finest work5
Having read most of Puzo's work, this is undoubtedly his finest work of literary fiction. It recounts Michael Corleone's sojourn in Sicily after his exile from America portrayed in The Godfather. The much beloved character Michael is not the central character in this book, but rather Salvatore Guiliano, a modern-day robin hood opposing the Cosa Nostra. Puzo uses an excellent cast of characters and wonderful setting to tell a brilliantly crafted story.

The ending will leave you flabbergasted and wanting more. An absolute masterpiece which comes highly recommended.

Outstanding5
like others i thought this was going to be more of the Corleone saga but it is much much more, fantastic book it kept me gripped throughout. Highly recomended
