The Blood Books
I have read all the blood books and they were all a really good read, although some of the tension between Vicki, Henry and Mike was lost in the last book Blood Debt it was still ok. I have now brought the smoke books which, carry on with Henry's life after Vicki but I am saving them for the beach. Tanya Huff's books are light and easy to read the only downside is you can't put them down once you have started reading them.
Book as good as the programme
I've been watching the series on telly and thought to give the books a go but was wary as once you have "seen" a character, the book is often not as you would have hoped but this is an exception. Henry is even more attractive in the text as in the "flesh" and I look forward to reading all of the series with anticipation
Hard to sink your teeth into!
I found this book difficult to get in to. I really struggled through it and it picked up at the end. By the end of the novel, I was pleased that I read it and decided it had been quite a fun read.
This covers your normal supernatural villians, cops discovering vampires and creatures of 'the other world.' Tanya Huff describes likeable characters and mysterious enemies.
This book was quite enjoyable and possibly worth a go if you are bored, but I would suggest the Sookie Stackhouse vampire mysteries by Charlaine Harris or the horror novels by Kelley Armstrong before this one.
