With work, this'll get you a 'B'
This book gives you an overall picture of the topic, containing a limited amount of valid detail. There are questions at the end of each section to make sure that learning has been successful, with examination practice questions and sample answers, ranging from 1 mark questions to long-answer, 6 mark questions. What this book lacks is explanation - this is vital to earn the higher bands of marks in long-answer questions. Reaching the higher bands of marks will get you an 'A' or 'A*' grade, but if all detail is remembered from this book, you should be guaranteed a grade 'B'. This book lacks a 'skills' section - if you are follwing the AQA A syllabus, this is worth more than a third of the marks on the physical paper. This book should be used in conjunction with another book if high standards are desired!
