Synopsis
From 'girl-next-door' to Princess of Pop to ultimate dance diva, Kylie Minogue has transcended her soap opera roots to become one of the biggest icons in popular culture. Her stadium tours sell-out in a matter of minutes and her every move is documented by tabloid newspapers, magazines and broadsheets. Now, author Sean Smith looks behind the Kylie mythology to reveal the real woman. Just how has Kylie managed to survive for almost twenty years in the fickle world of pop? Who has helped her to become the most popular female icon of the new millennium? Who or what are the true loves of her life? And how have recent events affected the way we view this perennial pop princess? With a new introduction and new material on Kylie's courageous battle against breast cancer, KYLIE: THE BIOGRAPHY is a must have not only for Kylie fans but music enthusiasts everywhere.
From the Back Cover
The whole world, it seems, loves Kylie Minogue.
She has.....Seven UK number one singles, four number one albums, two Brit
awards and one Grammy. She has been voted Sexiest Body and Woman of the
Year...
Now, bestselling author Sean Smith looks behind the public image to reveal
the story of a complex woman who was never the 'girl next door'. He

breast cancer.
Her comeback is one of the most inspirational stories in the history of
popular music.
Kylie is a modern icon and everybody's favourite pop star.

Customer Reviews
A wonderful version of her life
I'm not much of a Kylie fan and only got this book because it was a christmas present. I felt Sean Smith's version of Kylie's life gives a true picture of her rather than what she would give herself. I found I couldn't put this book down because her life is so intriging. She has been through so much and she is still top of the world. Well Done Kylie you have an aspirational life. Definite recommendation even if you don't like her
Excellent and Enjoyable
This is an excellent book and tells Kylie fans a lot about her and has some lovely photos included.
I found this enjoyable and interesting. Personally I love her music, she's a fantastic live performer as I found out on New Years Eve at Wembley, and a star who cares about her fans.
Within this book you find out about her family live, her early days, her singing career and much more.
It's a must read for all Kylie fans, as well as people who love reading biographies.
