Customer Reviews
Wolverine-heavy, but everyone expects that.
Chris Claremont moves from comics to novels effortlessly and his love for the characters shines through every page. He manages to wring every last drop of emotion out of a scene without straying into melodrama and his action scenes are as fresh as a comic splash page.
He makes an obvious effort to research scientific facts to make his narrative as 'real-world' as possible and in doing so raises the interesting question of how Wolverine makes his own red blood cells when his marrow is locked up within adamantium. Mmmm, easy ways to kill Wolvie no. 1 - stop his healing factor.
Claremont namesdrops various characters that exist within the comics but have not made the movies. Hopefully these brief character introductions will persuade casual readers to try out the comic universe.
An easy read and fun, just like the movie.
Unfortunate
It is unfortunate that the great Chris Claremont would put his name to this travesty of his original work. For a far superior telling, see Marvel Masterworks: The Uncanny X-Men, Volume 5.
