The most expensive film ever made in Korea, BICHUNMOO is the epic love story spanning years of medieval Korean history. As they try to stay together, they face political upheaval and stunning martial arts battles.
Customer Reviews
Excellent Korean Film!
I watched this for the first time today and I'm very glad I did.
The acting is excellent and the plot has many levels. I found the characters engaging and had no difficulty empathising with them and believing the ways in which their lives happened.
I liked the martial arts scenes but they didn't take over from the plot - the Bi Chun Shin Gi is an interesting type of film fighting and is visually impressive.
I would happily watch this film again many times and recommend it wholeheartedly.
Get your hankies out, LOL
I saw the trailer for this when I bought Ong Bak and it seemed interesting. I bought it eventually and blimey was I amazed.
The story is about a man called Jinha, who as a child saved a young girl called Sullie from a wolf in a forest. After saving her they both become inseparable friends and as time goes by when they're grown up they fall in love with each other.
One thing is, Sullie is the father of general of an empire and Jinha comes from a poor background. The general and his army are after a book called "Bi Chun Shun Gi", which is an art using swords, which is what Jinha has studied as a young boy. Due to this rivalry, Jinha and Sullie are kept apart and Sullie later being forced to marry somebody else, who is a nasty piece of work. Jinha still having strong feelings for Sullie no matter what the cost still tries to reach her.
That's all I'm going to tell you, if I carry on I'll spoil it for you, LOL. But yeah, brilliant acting, strong storyline and cool martial arts choreography. Some cool stuff
