They don't make them like this anymore
bleak, poignant, gripping, ingenious, thought-provoking and uplifting, this is one of those films that will stay with you for a long time. It has an otherwordly, spare quality of the 1950s B-movie that lets your mind focus on the predicament of the main character - I doubt this could be remade with the same effect. This really is a must-see
what a film
honestly ive not seen the beggining im gonna buy this now. but this is one of the best movies ive seen in a long time really is one of them masterpiece movies that should be remeberd for all time in my opinion. and the ending tho crazy is truly thought provoking,
A thrilling and timeless classic!
A great lesson in relativity this movie - especially the scene involving the cat that makes one realise just how terrifying it must be for a mouse! (I've never been a cat lover for that reason!)
This film boasts some great special effects that I guess could not be bettered - even with today's technology and advancement if they were to do a re-make (assuming that is that there has not already been one?)
About the only flaw in this movie was the scene where Scot Carey struggles, even to move a piece of cake, yet manages to lift and move a giant pair of scissors with relative ease - and we all know which is the heavier! Unfortunately, it is today's modern critics of such classics that has encouraged us to spoil things by looking for such flaws.
Some great suspense and thrilling moments throughout, and a movie which does not lose its fascination and interest with either age or upon countless viewings. I was always puzzled as to why this title was so long in coming out on DVD.
