DVD Description
The sixth season of Smallville, the US teen drama charting the early years of caped crudader Superman, includes arguably two of the most exciting events in the show's history: the formation of the Justice League, and Lex Luthor finally embracing his dark side and becoming the villain we all know from the comic books and classic films. This chapter of the much-loved TV show is filled with plenty of juicy storylines, particularly the love triangle between Clark Kent (played by Tom Welling), Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk) and Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum). Characters from the original DC Comics are also introduced, with Green Arrow as a love interest for Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen a beau for Chloe. Added drama comes in the shape of guest character Martian Manhunter, who previously worked for Clark's biological father Jor-El and was sent to aide Clark in his journey. The series ends with a bang, the fallout from which will dramatically change the shape of Smallville in seasons to come.

Synopsis
The sixth series of SMALLVILLE begins with Earth in peril, as Zod (Michael Rosenbaum)--who is inhabiting Lex Luthor's body--tries to transform the planet into a new version of Krypton. As the series progresses, an intriguing love triangle forms between Clark (Tom Welling), Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk), and Lex; a few new characters are introduced; and Lex's evil streak builds until he starts to resemble the classic character from Superman mythology. When Clark assembles the Justice League, the show is propelled even further towards the comic books of old. The series ends with a dramatic cliffhanger that suggests further new and exciting possibilities for SMALLVILLE.

Just keeps getting better!5
This season has to be one of the best from the show. I think that Miles Miller and Al Gough are doing a great job with their own creative license for the show, Ok they don't take the show where Superman fans would expect, but so what, it's such a new exciting take on the whole Superman ethos. I love where they have been going with Smallville and they are on form this season

This season we see the entrance of "The Green Arrow", the hatred between Clark and Lex grows and we see a particularly superb episode that introduces "The Justice League", our future Superman, Green Arrow, Cyborg, The flash and Aquaman. We have an unbelievable wedding and a finale to blow your socks off.

I can't wait to see seasons 7, I just KNOW it will be awesome.

Another must purchase for the true Smallville fan!

Sixth Season4
I have to say that this isn't the best season of Smallville ever. But I'm a huge fan, so I liked it anyway. The best episodes were Zod, Sneeze, and Combat. Though I was a little disappointed that the fight between Zod and Clark was so short. I think it should've spanned two episodes at least. I like the episode Combat because it was the first time Clark actually put up a fight against someone as strong as he was; before he got his butt kicked.

I have to say that i have thoroughly enjoyed this season but it is total nonsense. You don't get better escapism than Smallville but some of it is getting a little bit hard to swallow.
Even when Lana is trying to be threatening she is totally wet and you just want to give her a good old shake. Bless him, Tom Welling isn't ever going to win an Oscar but he's so pretty that who cares? At one point when you think Lana has popped her clogs Tom almost looks like he might act (someone get the man an asparin!) but thankfully he gets over the impulse and just looks vacant instead. Michael Rosenbaum looks a bit bored and Annette O'Toole has decided it ain't worth sticking around unless she gets to play with one of the Dukes of Hazzard.
I suppose that these things seem more evident as Supernatural just seems so much better on a similar theme.
The great thing about season 6 was the Justice League, really great slow-mo walking with explosions in the background!!! Really gets the girls going. Thankfully Aquaman gets his kit off too so the freeze frame paid for itself!
All in all this show is so entertaining that it's worth the box price just for the laugh.
Highly recommended!!!!
