Customer Reviews

Somewhat dated but still an interesting read3
Too much of what is in this book is out of date for today's competition aerobatics. Therefore it does not make for a useful manual for pilots new to the sport (Bill Thomas and Mike Goulian's books are far superior). However, it makes an interesting read for the more experienced aerobat who can separate the wheat from the chaffe within the text.

AEROBATICS5
This is an excellent book, which covers the entire spectrum of aerobatics- from the beginning til the most advanced figures. It's written in a very fluent style with lots of stories in between.

Some readers might look for something more specific and detailed-
for example, a book solely on competition flying-
they might prefer an other title.
But for the general reader, pilot or enthusiast- this book comes highly recommended

An aviation Bible5
As an experienced aerobatic pilot I can say that this was one of the most influencial books in my life. Neil Williams was a former Empire Test Pilot School graduate and 11 times British aerobatic champion, as well as European Champion and Captain of the British Aerobatic team from 1966 to 1977. In 1970 he performed an incredible feat when he successfully crash landed a Zlin after a wing folded during aerobatic practice.
A must have book for any aerobatic pilot.
