Never say never
I purchased this book in search for help for my chronic laminitic pony.

I had it for quite some time before taking the plunge and with help of qualified barefoot trimmer pulling the shoes and taking the route Jamie suggests to bring him back to life.

The book is a revelation almost frightening in its straight talking, simple message. The basic premise has implications for everyone who cares for horses and how they think about their responsibilities towards them. Heres to many thinner, healthier horses!

Every horse owner should own a copy!
Written in a no-nonsense style, Jamie Jackson's sensible and practical book has chapters not only on hooves, but also on creating "founder free" living environments and diets necessary for both the treatment and most importantly, prevention of laminitis and founder.

With the incidence of laminitis, founder, obesity, and related conditions such as Cushing's Disease on the increase in the equine population around the world, this book should be absolutely mandatory reading for every horse owner - both novice and experienced alike.
