Mystery component
Bosch PSR 12 Cordless Drill/Driver with 2 Batteries, Stand and Power Light This item was bought as a gift. Just as well, I checked it over and the universal bit holder was missing. Both this and the screwdriver bit were described in the parts list as "not included as standard delivery" but the screwdriver bit had been included. This baffles me, but then I'm not in the habit of buying power tools. Perhaps a certain type of logic is needed. I would rather have paid more and received a fully operational piece of equipment than have had to, as I did, drive to the nearest town to buy a universal bit holder.
Excellent service but the advert is in error.
Delivery was prompt and no doubt a good drill. However it is advertised as having a Li Ion battery when it is NiCad. I have informed Amazon and they were great. It will be collected by DHL postage paid, no quible. I hope they correct the advert soon. In the meantime please note the battery comment.
Regards
Good, but not what's advertised...
I thought this was too good to be true. A Bosch 12v cordless with 2 x LiIon batteries for £39.99???
Sure enough, it was too good to be true. The batteries are actually NiCd. Grrr...
The drill is a great little product, but of course the batteries will suffer from memory effect, etc.
For what I paid for it it's still a bargain. I'll keep it and use it as a screwdriver. But of course I have to start all over again looking for a drill now.
I see Amazon have since corrected the listing, and make no reference to the battery type now. Nice.
Caveat Emptor! Buyer Beware.
