Well structured, very informative and easy to read.
An excellent book which is very good value for money. The book is in two clear parts, one for carp and one for tench. Both sections are well structured giving step-by-step guidance on all aspects of fishing for carp & tench, from breeding habits to location; from tackle and techniques to baits and rigs. John Wilson has a clear style which gives either the specialist or weekend angler as much information as they need without blinding them with science.

Clear advice for beginners (like me). Poorly bound.
I have just begun carp fishing and found this book to be a very clear and well written introduction to an increasingly complex and bewildering game of hide and seek. In particular, I liked the rig drawings which were easy to understand and reproduce. I have one major complaint, not aimed at the author. I have had my book for about three weeks and it has almost completely fallen to pieces. It is very poorly bound with pages lifting out and badly curled covers. Such a shame. Is there a hardback version I wonder.
