The MMF Guide to Proffessional Music Management
If like me your looking to understand more about the music industry this is simply the best resource I've ever found. I've read quite a few titles on the subject of management, and this is the best I've read.
It really is worth every penny. A concentrated intensity of quality and volume meant as a resource for the proffessional music manager. With more than 10 specialist authors, they chapter in great depth on accountancy and the legal aspects of the industry. And great depth on negotiating recording, management and publishing contracts. It also includes a comprehensive directory of International members.
On the down side, have your dictionary at the ready, it's not the easiest literature to understand purely because of its speciallity and I found certain chapters need a few readings over to be crystal clear. Nevertheless, 400 pages of quality. If like me your interested in progressing into this field, Its probably a good move to invest.
