Synopsis
Designed to be tough and immensely practical the Rough Guide Maps provide travel information, and the city's sights, monuments and attractions. The maps show every shop, restaurant, bar and hotel in the Rough Guide travel guide to the city together with their opening times and, in many cases, phone numbers. Each map covers the main area of the city on one side and an enlarged city centre map on the reverse.
Customer Reviews
Indespensible for getting around Paris
The Rough Guide Paris Map was indespensible during our first visit to Paris. In addition to the very clear small and large scale maps on either side, the map shows Metro stops and all the usual places of interest. There is a Metro map and a key for finding the places of interest. The map is extremely durable and survived intact throughout innumerable foldings in various ways and being pulled in and out of pockets. The map is also waterproof; and passed the rain test! Lost from a pocket on the penultimate day, we failed to find a satisfactory alternative. I was bereft! Tourist office maps are hard to read and the roads are squashed. Although we also had the Rough Guide book, (also very good) the maps within this each relate to a small area and in no way substituted for the convenience of the map showing one place in relation to another. Don't visit Paris without this map. Extemely good value.
