Manufacturer's Description
Sudoku is the fascinating new puzzle that is taking the world by storm! This program is packed with 1,000 Sudoku puzzles of various degrees of difficulty all in an easy-to-use format, with the ability to print out so that you can complete whilst travelling.

The beauty of the puzzle is that the principle of solving is incredibly simple. All you have to do is fill the grid in so that every row, column and 3 x 3 box contains the numbers 1 9. (The word 'Sudoku' means 'the number is single'. The same number cannot appear twice in any row, column or 3 x 3 box).

Sudoku puzzles first appeared in Japan about twenty years ago. Our Sudoku puzzles are always created with a structured plan in mind, to guarantee enjoyment throughout the solving process. The solver's enjoyment is paramount and we're confident that you, the puzzler, will be continually surprised and delighted by the variety of techniques that must be employed in order to solve the puzzles.

Great for all abilities.5
I'm just beginning to get the hand of sudoku. It's taken me a while and lot of patient people explaining how to do them! I got into them more because of the brain training game on my DS Lite. This has led to me buying this game.

There are 4 levels: easy, mild, medium and hard so there is really something there for everyone. I would reckon those starting out (like me) on the lower levels are going to get more value for money out of this game than those starting straight away on the hard ones. However with a total of 1000 puzzles to do then I think there's enough to keep me occupied for quite a long time!

You have the option to have the cheat mode on (if you want to) and also to write in the corner of the squares in 'pencil' before committing to 'pen' or you can keep the pen on all of the time and have them committed straight away. There's a timer so you can keep an eye on your progress and also the facility to have a warning if you enter a duplicate number. All good stuff for the cost! Being able to save and pause is also a bonus just in case the phone rings or your laptop battery is running out for example.

It was so easy to install, for all those techno-phobes. I just popped in and followed the instructions - simple! Happy playing!

Highly Addictive5
As a total Sudoku addict I'm very pleased with this game, I found it loaded easily onto my PC and is very easy to use and get round. I don't print the puzzles out I like to do them on the PC.

The 4 levels of difficulty means that it would be a good introduction for someone new to these puzzles, my 9 year old loves trying to solve the Easy ones, with the help of the cheat function :) - It saves games for you so you can go back to them, it also has a nice little hint button that is supposed to help you without really cheating.
I really don't think they could have made this game any better :)

Sam-doku5
I am at a loss to understand what one reviewer,(puzzler54) wants.
Of course you go unto the next puzzle when you finish one.
These puzzle are crafted so that you can only solve it one way. these 'on the fly' puzzles dont work that way, they are crap.
This is a well presented piece of software which should suit any "REAL" puzzlers well
