A good backup
A decent enough backup for your resistance training while away from your home/gym.
Resistance bands are common and readily available, and so there's no need to extol the virtues of what they do.
This kit consists of two sets of bands and two handles. There's nothing else in the box except an invitation to join an online fitness club. At first glance it's a bit of a puzzle how the bands attach to the handles, but after a little trial and error I found they attach like so:
Push the band into the handle using the hole at the bottom. Once the bands are through, push the plastic stopper into the hole from the opposite direction. If you stretch the bands the stopper will go in easier. Once the stoppers are in, any pull on the bands actually makes them more secure, as the stopper (which is tapered) pushes against the narrow opening making a very strong seal.
Once you have the hang of how to secure the bands, you can easily adjust the length as required.
The supplied items seem to be of reasonable quality, but care must be taken not to lose the stoppers (they do have a little attachment gizmo though).
There's nothing bad to say about these at all really. They're cheap, adjustable and look pretty sturdy.
Review
Flexible rope has a habit of coming out of the grip holders.
I would have preferred the rope to be fixed to the handles.
Other than that, it is a good product.
Cheap and fiddly
If you want resistance bands then I recommend Billy bands - those ones are fixed to the handles and have loops at the end (perfect for attaching to feet, etc) and provide a lot more resistance.
Golds gym bands are cheap, not attached to the handles (you have to figure that out yourself) and just not as easy to use as Billy bands.
