Synopsis
Seventeen-year-old Gaia Moore is not a typical high school senior. Her mother is dead, and her father, a secret agent, abandoned her years ago. But before he left, he taught her self-preservation. She's a black belt in karate, multilingual and has an extraordinary ability - fearlessness.

The next book...4
The books are all basically written in small chunks (there are about 36 books right now!), so this one is similar to the first book (FEARLESS #1) - it's really good, the plot is fast and suspensful and I read it really quickly to get to the next one.

Gaia to the rescue4
-
This book is really good Francine Pascal manages to establish a emotional bond between the reader and the charecters, from the beautiful heroine Gaia to the annoying and deadly CJ, Gaia was born without the fear gene, she trained to be a super spy at the age of 6 and her mother died not much later. Gaia has some emotional wounds that eventually come to light in this the second book of the series. She despretly misses her father who she hasnt seen in 5 years and the love of her life seems to loathe her what makes things worse though is that a mad man is trying to kill her and before she dies she wants to lose her virginaty, but will Sam give up hi perfect relationship for a night with Gaia?. This book really is a journey and you feel the need to turn the page over not just for yourself, but also for Gaia and the gang. Read this book at then you'll be truly hooked to the whole series each one just as brilliant as the one before.

Surprisingly Good3
I was wary at first of reading this mostly because it was written by the teen series queen herself Francine Pascal, who is more famous for her Sweet Valley High Series. I was pleasantly surprised the main character Gaia is streetwise and smart but with all the insecurities of most girls her age. The main difference between Gaia and everyone else is that her Dad is a top secret government official and she herself is an experiment in genetics who was born without the fear gene. The book itself reminded me a lot of the TV show Dark Angel and has enough originality to make it a must have for fans of the American show. My only complaint is that now I'm hooked after one book and want to find out more about Ed (Gaia's love sick wheelchair bound friend) Sam (Gaia's lust object), Heather (Sam's pretty snobbish girlfriend), and the various agents out to get Gaia and as there are currently about 24 other books in the series it could become a very expensive habit!!
