DAILY RECORD, 23 October
"An intricate plot and cnning twists"

Synopsis
A man without a past is washed into the nets of a fishing boat with no idea of who he is or how he got there. All he has is a passport in the name of Jason Bourne. Over the course of three books, The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, he gradually comes to realise who and what he really is - a strange amalgam of a man named David Webb, and a deadly killer: Jason Bourne. Now David Webb is living a peaceful life as a university professor in the backwoods of America with his wife and children. But someone is reaching out to take him out of the game forever. A deadly assassin is on his trail and his former handler has been brutally murdered already. It seems that David Webb must once again turn to Bourne to save his life and family.

Exciting...5
I've now read many of Robert Ludlum's novel's, and the Jason Bourne story's alway's hit the spot. This world class writer understands his genre so well that the pace, suspense, and throughly believable charators make the read most enjoyable. Most unusual, is the fact that the films are equally brilliant. While writing this review, I would also like to recommend 'The Constantine Legacy' by, up & coming author Andrew Towning.

A new Angle5
Although many people have slated this books as awful and one should not bother with it i found it to be intresting and exciting. first of all mr Ludlums previous books in the series are great and although a bit dated the book can be enjoyed as a new angle I mean come on if you are going to slate this book of you might as well slate the films as they have nothing to do with the books apart from certian characters and plot lines. I found this book to be exciting and action packed and enough twists to keep you reading. If you are new to the books I would recomend reading the previous three but overall a good read

Simply awful.1
This really is awful. I just can't understand how Eric Van Lustbader could've done this so badly, surely he must've read the other Bourne books before he wrote this...

In this book, Bourne (who should be about 60) is able to pull off amazing feats, such as jumping from a motorcycle to a truck going in opposite directions. The entire character of Bourne is different to the character in the original trilogy.

Read the others (which really are all fantastic books), and just forget this.

This isn't a continuation of the Bourne series, it's just tripe.
