Synopsis
This is a sharp, funny, sometimes caustic look at life and the issues of growing up, seen through a teenage boy's eyes. Read about the mad life of Joe Derby as he embarks on his first relationship and makes his first film.

Customer Reviews

A great book5
This book is brilliant. It may get off to abit of a slow start, but don't let that put you off. It just gets better and better, as Joe tells the reader more of his thoughts. Really, the only dissappointment is that the book does seem to finish in rather a hurry.
Sixteen year old Joe Derby lives a fairly normal life, identifiable by most teenage boys. He has trouble with girlfriends and is unlucky with most things.
Joe however, along with his mate, Merlin, makes films. Some of the best parts of the book take place while they are filmimg their latest venture, "La Maison Doom". To add to the great storyline, there is constantly brilliant humour from John Farman.
