Customer Reviews
Barefoot in the Dark
When I first got this book i thought 'Oooh i can't wait to read it' but after reading the first few pages, I have found it slow. The characters are interesting but the plot development is slow and after a while of trying to ignore the fact that its slow, in the end i had to put it down. I must admit it is a good book but its slow in places.
Page turning
I really like Hope, the main female character. She goes about things with humour and perserverance. And she has good taste in men, as Jack the radio presenter proves. Jack is the kind of man we all want to meet... but don't. This is one of those books I don't want to put down and read at every opportunity until it's finished. Then I wish I hadn't read it so fast.
I would like to see more of the radio studios as it's a convincing background where used.
Fantastic
I just finished reading this book, and i want to sing its praise. I loved it its a compelling read. Im a university student and even though the characters were not in my age gap it didn't matter. I read it straight for a weekend and couldn't put it down! I plan to read more of Lynne Barret-Lee books.
