	Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco Buy new: £5.99 / Used from: £0.01 This is a veritable cornucopia of conspiracy theories, probably only exceeded by Illuminatus, Eco can tell a story well. Once you get past the first chapter it picks up.
	The Illuminatus!: Trilogy by Robert Shea Buy new: £6.99 / Used from: £5.16 I first read this trilogy 25 years ago and it made me laugh. It's still selling strong (here combined into one volume of all 3 parts). This is the perfect antidote to Dan Brown ;-)
	The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail by Michael Baigent Buy new: £0.01 / Used from: £0.01 I have to include this. It was the first 'serious' conspiracy book I ever read. Almost made me want to go to Rennes le Chateau. Also got me interested in the Cathars. Mr Brown's inspiration?
	Robert Ludlum: The Bourne Trilogy: The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum: "The Bourne Identity", "The Bourne Supremacy", "The Bourne Ultimatum" (Great Novels) by Robert Ludlum Buy new: £10.49 / Used from: £6.98 All three of the Jason Bourne trilogy in one volume. If you liked the films then you should read the original books.
	The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown Buy new: £5.49 / Used from: £0.01 I don't actually like his writing, formulaic, predictable, poorly researched. But outselling everything! A literary agent I met said it's a book for non-readers, which is what publishers want.
	The Da Vinci Hoax: Exposing the Errors in "the Da Vinci Code": Exposing the Errors in "the Da Vinci Code" by Carl Olson Buy new: £4.89 / Used from: £0.33 Unpromising start, but actually develops into a creditable analysis of all that's wrong with Mr. Brown's book (above)
	Angels and Demons by Dan Brown Buy new: £3.99 / Used from: £0.01 Pre-dating his successful da vinci code, this is another conspiracy-ridden novel. Suffering from all the same style (sic) and research (lack) problems, it is even more ridiculous and incredible.
	Soylent Green [1973] Buy new: £3.97 / Used from: £3.00 This was probably the earliest environmentally based science fiction film. Made in 1973 the special effects are non-existent. Set in 2022, not so far away now, it looks uncomfortably precognitive.
	Cypher [2003] Buy used from: £1.47 Industrial conspiracy rather than political/religious. But this is a well made film, well acted, and with interesting plot twists (not all of which are predictable).
	Cube Trilogy - Cube / Cube 2 / Cube Zero Buy new: £39.44 / Used from: £15.90 I liked Cube, although it's a bit gruesome. Hypercube (Cube 2) was a bit too sequelly for me (if you see what I mean). I liked Cube zero too, an interesting way of revisiting the story.
	The X Files Movie [1998] Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £2.39 X-Files - the movie, not necessarily the pinnacle of the storylines explored in the series, but if you don't already know the series an easy/cheaper way to 'get' it
	Florentine Histories: (New translation) Introduction by Harvey Mansfield, Jr.: New Translation by Niccolo Machiavelli Buy new: £20.03 / Used from: £19.31 Machiavelli - the master of conspiracies and spin, no wonder he's required reading for both Tories and New Labour
