![]() | War and Peace (Wordsworth Classics) by L.N. Tolstoy

![]() | Dance, Dance, Dance by Haruki Murakami
Buy new: £5.99 / Used from: £3.98 I love all his work, but perhaps this is my favourite. Very dark, very strange.

![]() | A Dance to the Music of Time: Spring v.1: Spring Vol 1 (Dance to the Music of Time) by Anthony Powell
Buy new: £9.80 / Used from: £9.17 This is volume one of four. Every character is utterly real and convincing, even after only a line or two of dialogue. He captures the rhythm of life like no-one else. Always something new there.

![]() | In Search of Lost Time: 6 Volumes by Marcel Proust
I include this as a 'great ' book I really don't like. One of several fat classics (see also Don Quixote) whose most famous passages occur in the first hundred pages. Maybe no-one reads any further?
