Manufacturer's Description
A quarter of a million pounds. 22 boxes and no questions... except one: Deal or No Deal?
The eagerly awaited Deal or No Deal NDS Game puts you on the same walk of wealth as contestants on Edmond's award-wining game show broadcast on Channel 4, only this time it's virtual. Â Maybe the game looks easy from the comfort of your armchair? Here's your chance to prove you've got what it takes!
The basis of the game is the same as in the TV Show: the player is presented with 22 boxes and must select one box to keep for himself that they will only open at the end of the game.
Each box contains an amount of money ranging from 0.01p to £250,000 but no one knows for sure which one contains what prize.
The player must open each of the boxes in any order per round. After a certain amount are opened, âthe bankerâ will make a monetary offer for the player's own, still unopened box.
The player can choose to accept the offer for the box and "Deal" or choose "No Deal" to continue to play in the hope of a better offer later or more valuable prize when they open their own box.

Do Not Waste Your Cash On This Game
simple, do not buy this game it is total rubbish. I bought it as I am a fan of the show but wish I had not bothered as I traded it in 1 week later. It is slow, boring with not much point to it.
Repetitive and shallow gaming experience
I like Deal or No Deal a lot as a show, but essentially it is a fairly slim concept. You open boxes, the banker makes you an offer and you accept or reject. It can be really gripping television but sadly this attempt at making it into a game falls flat.
The Nintendo DS version has three options - the regular game, playing as the banker or a forfeits version. There is also a mini-game that crops up once a game and will soon become grating as you have to follow a moving box and correctly identify it. Whilst the makers clearly want to add some variety to the game, by only having one such challenge it quickly becomes a chore. It would have been better to have a number of assorted tasks that can be completed. Variable difficulty levels might have made it more entertaining too - I certainly never had any problem following the boxes.
The option to play as the banker is certainly an interesting twist (though the moving boxes mini-game makes an unwelcome appearance) though the novelty wears out fairly quickly.
The biggest problem with this title is repetition. You'll see the same tired old banker comments repeat each game, the musical score is bland and you will come to dread the appearance of the mini game.
Then again, it was a near-impossible task for the game's makers - without the tension in the studio the atmosphere of the show never really comes to life. Whilst it is fun to see a digital version of Noel Edmonds (and a number of interesting looking individuals holding boxes), the novelty quickly wears off.
How boring can it get?
I literally played this once and i couldn't stand it any longer, the graphics are rubbish, the game play is terrible and even the banker isn't realist. When you first start this game, you can choose Banker or contestant mode, well i chose contestant mode as thats what the tv show is. So the game starts and you see this awful interpretation of Noel edmonds, and the game starts, you scroll through the boxes 3 at a time, which wastes time, and you choose the boxes, 5 boxes later, you've taken out the 5 lowest amounts and the banker offers... £1000, Now if that was in the show you would have got maybe £7000 or a bit more, but no. Then you get this crazy little mini game where the cup is hidden in the box and if you get it right 3 times, then you get and increase in the offer, what is the point? Totally a waste of money in my opinion.
