How to generate your best CV
I found this book to be excellent. I had previously applied for 5 jobs and had not even been short-listed even though l had the appropriate qualifications, since reading this book and making changes to my CV l have had 2 interviews and been offered one of the jobs. The book tells you how CVs are seen from the 'employers' point of view and what factors put them off or want to interview you. There are also really useful templates in there.
Brilliant Title For a Brilliant Edition!
Wow! What can I say?
First, I'd like to thank the authors, Jim Bright/ Joanne Earl, for giving me back my dignity, respect and self-confidence! Thanks, you guys!
After 5 years of 'Thanks, but no-thanks' letters, I had become withdrawn, depressed and a feeling lost and helpless. I bought this book along with Brilliant Interview - and after doctoring my CV, applied for some jobs. I started this as a new year resolution on January 1st.
It is now February 2nd and I start my new job on the 5th!!! What's more, the interviewer told me how impressed he was with my CV! Now remember, there is nothing new on there... it is just laid out properly, following the excellent advice of this book!
If an unemployable wretch like myself, with relatively few qualificaitons and no work in the past 5 years can secure a new job - then you can too! Buy this book from Amazon now! It's awesome!
I finally feel like a man again. Men need jobs. Go buy this book!
Great CV book - just what you want
Excellent book. Covered all the CV stuff I was hoping it would. Well written (as you'd expect from the books in this series). Also personally found the "Brilliant Interview" book was excellent, along with "How to Handle Your Recruitment Consultant" (different series and different style but still totally invaluable in a job search).
