Customer Reviews

Fantastic Value5
As the first reviewer mentioned, it does help if you have a basic understanding of colour management - if you do, then this product is very easy to use. The comprehensive help pages do give very good explanations about each of the dialog boxes and what options you may wish to use.

The accuracy seems excellent - I cannot tell any differences between Proof Colors in CS3 and the printed output of my Canon i990. This printer is both old and cheap and I was very impressed with the output achieved.

Until recently, similar capabilities were priced at >£500 so this product must be classed as good value.

The first reviewer mentions "turnip" faces, by which I assume a strong magenta cast which could be symptomatic of double colour managing - after you have created your profile it is important to let the application handle colour using the profile generated and to be sure and turn off the printer's colour management options (the product help pages do describe how to do this on Epson, Canon & HP print drivers)

Syder 3 Print5
Excellent system to enable anyone to create a ICC profile for their ink/paper combination. Just follow the instructions, print the 225 test plaque images, allow the paper to dry overnight and then read the plaque with the spyder 3 measuring head to produce your ICC profile - it's that easy and the results are very good. Just take care to centralise the head on the test square before taking the readings. Highly recommended

£262 down the drain1
I think this device is designed for people who have experience in printer calibration.
It comes with no manual or DVD to guide you through the process, only on screen help which is an absolute pain in the neck, having to go backwards and forewards.
But the real real downside is that after calibration, I printed a photo of my grandson and his face was the colour of a turnip.
And there is no imformation as what has gone wrong, or how to remedy it.
If any body want's one they can have mine for £175 used only once.
