Four Counties and the Welsh Canals (Collins/Nicholson Waterways Guides)
More of an ordenance survey map of the canal.

Goes great with Four Counties Ring - Pearson's Canal Companion: Trent and Mersey and Erewash Canals (Pearson's Canal Companions).

Both books have slightly different information.

Only slight drawback with this book, the writing is quite small, it would be better published in A4 size. Otherwise if you are thinking of having a narrow boat round the Four Counties Ring it is well worth the money to pre-plan and get the best out of your holiday.

Having just purchased a 1/12 share of a narrowboat I am eagerly planning my first owner outing. The Nicholson guide is clear, understandable and an enjoyable read as maps go. The price was reasonable and its accuracy will be tested the first week in December!
