Pinnacle - Don't Bother!
Having purchased this product and having problems with fuctionality, I tried contacting Pinnacle through their website and received inappropriate responses that could have been "automated" replies or the result of lazy employees. I eventually contacted Pinnacle in the USA and they referred me back to the useless website and to non functioning UK telephone numbers. After you buy this product, they (Pinnacle), seemingly cut themselves off from their customers by only being contactable by a single, expensive PREMIUM RATE telephone number. After 3 days, I have to give up! It could be said that it is my own fault in so much that Studio 11 was also not value for money as it repeatedly crashed resulting in the loss of my work many times.

I have not found anything better than Sony Vegas for reliability and value for money. It's also cheaper than Pinnacle on Amazon with as good a customer service from Sony as you could hope for. After using Sony Vegas for a while, you will be learning how a professional editing package should work. After a while, you may want to consider moving up to the "Pro" version. Had I have not been made aware of Sony Vegas, I would have given up trying to edit my own videos. Caveat Emptor* (*Buyer beware)

Useless
I recently bought this item from Amazon , it is nothing short of useless . It takes ages to load and crashes every time I try and use it . Support is very poor . Do not waste your money on this item as I have done .

Very relieved.
After reading a lot of conflicting reviews, there was something about this product that appealed to me. I was looking for something that was simple to use but had enough power to handle HDV as I had just purchased a Canon HV30.
I have also just got a very powerful computer (which may account for some of the problems people have had) quad core, 3gig ram, 2gig graphics card etc.
I downloaded the trial vers. of this product and am pleased to report it works!!
I am able to import HDV clips, edit them very quickly, then burn the finished product to a Blu-ray disk. When played back on my 32" HD Tv the results look stunning.
If you want something thats easy to use, but is capable of producing great looking video's it's worth a punt. Just make sure your PC's upto the job.
I have recently discovered you can burn High def. AVCHD files onto standard DVD disks. These can be played back in full HD on my Blu-ray player. Cool.
