Sinister, yes... And fantastic!
This is probably one of my favourite fictional books. Celia Rees shares her incredible talent for writing in this dark, mysterious and intriguing novel, which I had to admit, had me hooked from page one. The plot is complex but is one that leaves you thinking... It's a brilliant all-round book with some wonderful and enigmatic characters. I STRONGLY recommend this book to ALL vampire fans - it's a book I guarantee you will not regret reading if you get the chance. If you're in to dark fictional novels like Dracula or are simply a fan of fantasy-fiction horror in general, you must buy this!

One of the best books ever!!!!!!!!!!!!
READ this Book it ROCKS! Celia Rees has always been one of my fave authors since I read "Truth or Dare" (also fab). I got this out of the library as soon as I heard the name "Celia Rees" and the sentance "new book in the library". It really consumes the period of time you read it for, it took me one afternoon after school and I got no homework done at all. It was so briiliant, the storyline was original and gripping. I recomend this book to anyone who wants a fantastic read and doesnt mind a slight scare!
When I was reading a particulary creepy bit I thought my brain was imagening creepy violin music, it turned out to be my brother in the next room!! I LOVED THIS BOOK full stop. I just really think you should read it.

A review on the best book I've ever read.
I read this book, because i liked the frount. I really got in to it, and i couldnt wait for reading time at school, because i could read this book. it was brilliant the way that the author made you want to read on. I was so shocked when i found out what was going on. i really felt like i knew the charactors. it is also fast paced, which i think is good in a book. i cant be bothered to read all about the persons life, and spend half the book, describing things. the use of old English is fantastic. i would reccomend this book to anyone who wants great language and adventure, in a realistc setting. 5 stars!!!
