One of the greatest fantasy series of all time. I read it this year for the second time.

I reread the Belgariad early in the year, and I was surprised by how fresh and entertaining it was. A far cry from Eddings' later stuff.

Highly enjoyable, high-concept space opera written by a sci-fi master. Unputdownable!

One of the greatest science fiction novels of all time. Even though I had read it a few years back, I had to drop everything and reread it as soon as I got my hands on it.

Terry Pratchett can be a a little hit and miss. This one is a hit!

There has been much debate over the merits of this book. I for one was charmed from the very first footnote! An enjoyable read.

Enjoyable... but this series didn't rise above the level of a decent Tolkein knock-off until....

...and this is where it culminates. All in all, a fine fantasy trilogy, and a promise of even better things to come from this author.

I was reading much of this series throughout the year and though no one book in particular stood out, the series as a whole is solid, fun fantasy fare and worth exploring for any fantasy fan.
