Very good mouse
After owning a Logitech G5 previously and not liking it, i was quite sceptical about buying another mouse, but I am glad now that I have.
In comparison with the G5 it is much smaller and lighter, and suits me because i use a 'fingertip grip' due to my wrist being raised on a gel wrist rest. It is very comfortable and felt quite natural after my old optical mouse, rather than trying to swtich to the G5 which was much too big. Aesthetically the mouse looks very nice. The light in the scroll wheel is very bright, but don't expect the sides to be glowing like they are in the photos, although there is a slight glow.
The buttons are very sensitive compared to what i was used to and caused me to blow myself up a couple times by accidentally on HL2, throwing nades at my feet after leaning too much weight on the left click, but i got used to this quickly lol. The scroll wheel is a bit too stiff imo.
As for performance, the mouse can be potentially very sensitive, but i have started off with 800 dpi and a 3.0 sensitivity on css which is very comfortable and i'm pleased with the performance of the mouse. Don't expect any massive increase in ur kill count after buying one though. Having said that, i have been pulling off some shots that i wouldn't have made previously.
One problem i noticed with the G5 was that when i lifted the mouse off the mat and put it back down to reposition, i would get an annoying stutter where the lazer was tracking too high off the mat, i don't have this problem with the Diamondback which is good.
If you are looking for a well priced gaming mouse but dont want something really big and heavy, i definitely would reccomend this.
Perfection.
I recently got this mouse, it is perfect for the games I play, it is extremely comfortable and has an extremely quick reaction time, you can change your sensitivity so that your arrow moves fast or slow depending on what game you're playing, being able to change my buttons is just perfection, saving me time with the double-click feature.
Thank you Amazon for selling this mouse as I have never had a gaming mouse before but this has inspired me that it isn't just expensive muck. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a comfortable mouse since the rubbery texture on the top doesn't make your hand feel worn down after a while.
Mouse Works but Zero Tech Support.
Ok my Razer DiamondBack 3G works well so far especialy with the eXactMat, BUT I did have some serious driver issues at first, at least I thought so, SO having Registered Twice the Mouse and Keyboard at US and EU websites which took a while, and Registering 2 Tech Support Emails which also took ages for the expensive Razer Lycosa Gaming Keyboard and Mouse I got Zero Emails after the 2 standard confirmation emails, so I WAS registered, so goodbye from me, I sent it straight back, Amazon were great and even refunded my postage for the keyboard but I may loose out sending the Mouse back, so NO respect to Razerzone they have serious driver and microswitch reliability issues searching Google. What if my Razer Mouse breaks down in 5 months with Zero tech support your pretty much stuffed.
