Better than nothing, but not much1
This set of cards was a waste of money. It disappoints at various levels: here are three. (1) 'Village Walks' is a misnomer because many of the walks relate to large towns, such as Nice, Cannes, Marseille, Orange, Avignon, and so on. (2) The concentration of the walks is 4:1 in favour of western Provence at the expense of the Côte d'Azur. The large area in between, where there are many lovely villages, is ignored completely. We hoped to discover more about villages in that region and around the Côte because of the hype in the Amazon blurb. None appears. (3) The majority of walks are in major tourist centres, well-covered already by many guides obtainable in the UK, and in France where they are sometimes free in tourist agencies and town halls in the very villages we had hoped might appear in this publication.

The production costs may account for the high cost of the set of cards, but the content's quality does not. There are plenty of better options in the bookshops.
