Manufacturer's Description
The heroes of football from all nationalities are celebrated in Football Legends 1 'Limited Editions' pack. See how your childhood heroes score against Pele, Geoff Hurst, Michael Platini, George Best, Johan Cruyff and Gazza, to name a few! Put yourself and your mates to the test and see who comes out top of the league when you play 30 heroes of today and yesteryear against each other on International Caps, International Goals, Number of Clubs, and Honours in this Top Trumps Limited Editions pack.
Top Trumps has been played since the 1970s when the first packs took the playgrounds of the UK by storm. Its success is partly due to how easy and compelling it is to play. Shuffle and deal all the cards face down. Each player takes their share of the cards and holds them so that they can only see the top card. The first player reads out a selected statistic (e.g. Weight or Speed). The other players then read out the same statistic from their own top cards. The player with the best or highest value wins and places all the cards on the bottom of his pile. It is then that player's turn to choose a statistic from the next card. If two or more cards share the top value or data is unavailable for that statistic, then all the top cards are placed in the middle and the same player chooses from the next card. The winner of that hand takes all the cards from the middle as well. The person with all the cards at the end is the winner, easy. The better you know the deck, the better your chances.

Errr, hang on a tick....
My boy was given this as a Christmas present this year - or was it me??
The amount of true football legends over the years is not really that high, and you could probably guess most of the players here, right? So who would you select in your top 3 of all-time? I think the vast majority of people would say Pele without a doubt, but who else...my second vote would probably go to Maradona (despite detesting the bloke for loads of reasons, mainly for the cheating way in which England were 'handed' a defeat against Argentina in the QF's). I mean, for as much as we detest the guy for what happened in that match you would be hard pushed to come up with a better runner-up to Pele. So I'm afraid, guys, that this one glaring omission (yes folks, Maradona IS NOT in this pack - he's in pack 2 which also includes Carlton Palmer HAHAHAHA!!)has ridiculed the value of this collection. You CANNOT have a top football legends without 'that Argentinian bloke' in it can you! Very funny putting him in with Carlton Palmer though...
